Periodic inspections

All electrics deteriorate with use and age, and periodic inspections are an important way of identifying any elements that could be compromised. During an inspection engineers will check for:

• Installation defects
• Installation deterioration that may be dangerous
• Compliance with the current issue of BS 7671 wiring regulations
• Safety of persons against risk of electric shock and burns

PAT testing

By law, all landlords are required to ensure that all appliances such as electric kettles, fridges, washing machines, microwaves and tumble dryers provided as part of a tenancy agreement are safe. LEAD Electrical Services provide PAT testing services and recommend that landlords have their appliances tested at the beginning of each tenancy and annually after that.

For construction/building sites, any PAT testing we carry out on appliances will receive a three month certification. This is due to the changeable conditions of these types of sites.
